For my diploma project, I had the exciting opportunity to create a website inspired by an ABC book. I decided to focus on the fascinating and often misunderstood frogs from the Dendrobatidae family in Central and South America.
The subject is particularly interesting because very few people know about poisonous frogs, even though one species is the most poisonous animal in the world. My main objective is to present this unique family of frogs in a simple and engaging way, making the experience immersive and attractive for users.
To achieve this, I have simplified the information on different species and presented it in a visual way, allowing for easy and quick understanding while retaining the essential details. The website, called "Batratóxica," combines the ancient Greek word for frog (bátrakhos) and the Spanish word for toxic (tóxica), providing a comprehensive overview of the subject matter, including information on several species and their characteristics, behaviors, and lifestyles.
To show the diverse shapes and colors of frogs, I have designed a colorful and abstract universe that captures the essence of these unique creatures. Of course, it will also be necessary to showcase realistic representations of the frogs to aid in recognition, but my intention is to create a visually stunning experience that engages users from the start.
The website includes not only images and sounds of the frogs but also information on conservation efforts to preserve their habitats.
Overall, my diploma project has resulted in a comprehensive and engaging look at toxic frogs from the Dendrobatidae family, with the primary objective of educating users and shedding light on these fascinating creatures.
